Pacific College of Health and Science Chooses Blackboard Learn Ultra

Pacific College of Health and Science (PCHS) has chosen Anthology's Blackboard Learn Ultra as its new learning management system. The decision occurred after a competitive review, the institution said.

The San Diego-based college focuses on holistic, integrative healthcare, including Chinese medicine, and has campuses with clinics also in Chicago and New York City. Hybrid training is available in person and online as well.

PCHS already had Anthology Student in place, according to a release by Anthology.

"Pacific College is benefiting from a significant reduction in recurrent, implementation, and overall cost associated with supporting their LMS," Anthology said.

The addition of Blackboard Learn Ultra will add hundreds of ed tech features that leverage data to help streamline student records and progress, but also provide help for instructors, such as the AI Design Assistant program to improve course-building. The new authentic assessment feature, announced in October, will also help, Anthology said.

"At Pacific College, we're delivering an integrated learning experience that fits the modern student.…" said Gregory Russo, vice president of information technology. "With Blackboard Learn, we're providing a leading user experience that's streamlined and intuitive. And, with the opportunity to harness data from across the institution, we can unlock the potential for improved institutional decision-making and enhanced student success outcomes."

"Our long-time partners at Pacific College recognize the investment in Learn and the potential of an ecosystem approach," said Joe Belenardo, Anthology's chief revenue officer. "That trust demonstrates just how transformative a deeper partnership with Anthology will be for their learners."
