Beck Technology Donates DProfiler to Colleges, Universities

Beck Technology recently announced that it will donate its DProfiler software platform to colleges and universities for use in construction-related coursework.

DProfiler is a macro Building Information Modeling (BIM) program, integrating 3D modeling with conceptual cost estimating. According to the company, the platform is aimed at reducing rework due to late-stage design changes. The software is currently being used at Auburn University, Stanford University, University of Southern California, Iowa State, Texas A&M, and University of Miami, among others.

According to Beck, the BIM solution will be provided to institutions by request. DProfiler was made commercially available in late 2006 and is in use by numerous firms around the country.
