Kaltman Offers New Spectrum Analyzer and Signal Generator for Wireless Troubleshooting

Kaltman Creations has introduced AirSleuth Pro Bundle V2 to its line of radio frequency (RF) spectrum analyzers. Priced at $465, the software includes AirSleuth, a 2.4 GHz RF spectrum analyzer, and AirHorn, a 2.4 GHz, 11-channel signal generator. The programs are designed for users to install, test, troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize wireless networks.

The spectrum analyzer allows the user to view WiFi channels 1 through 11 individually or simultaneously, with Peak, Average, and Raw trace modes. Diagnostic modes include traces, spectrogram, channel time course, differential channels, and pie charting. The software includes a real-time calculation to identify the WiFi channel with the least interference. A logging and playback recorder provides for monitoring over an extended period.

The signal generator can be set to generate selective RF signals for any number of the 11 WiFi channels. It has three transmission modes: single channel, traverse all channels, and peak. AirHorn can be used to assist in antenna placement, RF shield effectiveness, and wireless network stress testing.
