Vivitek Debuts 1080p Data Projector

Vivitek has announced the D952HD, a native 1080p, DLP-based data projector.

The projector--Vivitek's first 1080p model--is specified at 3,500 lumens brightness and 2,400:1 contrast ratio. It incorporates VividWheel technology for improved color reproduction and automatic gain control. Connectivity includes HDMI 1.3, composite video, S-video, and two VGA ports. The projector has a top-load sliding cover for lamp replacement.

The Vivitek D952HD will be available in April 2010. It's expected to sell for $1,999.
