Datatel has introduced Datatel Mobile, a mobile app that enables users to access class schedules, assignments, rosters, events, and documents; exchange and manage contact information; receive personalized notifications; follow a GPS-enabled campus map to classroom buildings and other facilities; and more. Built in conjunction with mobile business card app developer DubMeNow, Datatel Mobile is available for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, RIM BlackBerry, and Google Android, with additional platforms to be supported later this year. Enterprise Learning Management Platform

Moodlerooms has unveiled Joule, an enterprise learning management platform based on the open source Moodle system. Features include: outcomesbased learning (online quizzes, assignments, resources, and forums are linked to outcomes and standards); in-program help (including tutorials and FAQs accessible from within the platform); modules and blocks (allowing institutions to incorporate open source and third-party applications); and course conversion (allowing educators to transfer courses and content from an existing learning management system, for a smooth transition). Automated Network Management

New from Netcordia: NetMRI 4, the latest version of the company’s networkautomation solution for physical and virtual network infrastructures.
