EMS Master Calendar Updated for Social Network Sharing

Dean Evans & Associates has released a new version of EMS Master Calendar, its online calendar software. The application provides users in an organization access to a central calendar of events. Release 3.1 provides improved control of events imported from the company's scheduling system and tighter integration with social networking sites and other Web-based calendar programs.

Workflow features have also been beefed up, particularly in the area of imported events. Calendar managers can now send requests for additional event information to one or more recipients from within the Master Calendar system with a link that gives the recipients self-service access to a page for uploading images and editing event descriptions.

Users can also share and bookmark event details on social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter; use Master Calendar through Safari on iPhone and iPad devices; color-code event titles by event type; and add details to events.

The company claimed it has more than 1,000 higher education customers for its products. Among its calendar software users are California State University, Sacramento and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
