TeamDynamix Launches Free Project Management Tool for Higher Ed

TeamDynamix has released Task Manager, a free stand-alone application for higher education project management.

Task Manager is a tool for the creation and management of project plans, featuring drag-and-drop entry of tasks into an interactive Gantt chart interface. Projects can be saved as a file or imported into the TeamDynamix series of Enterprise PPM software, available separately.

Intended as an alternative to Microsoft Project, Task Manager comes in two forms: Professional Edition for TeamDynamix customers and Community Edition for non-customers. Both versions are free, but the Professional Edition provides integration with TeamDynamixHE Enterprise PPM software. The Enterprise suite includes projects, portfolio, time and expense, financials, ticketing, and other modules tailored to the higher education environment. Clients select and pay for only those modules selected according to their needs. To access server functions, Task Manager users must have access to TDNext (Projects) 6.5 or later.

Task Manager can be installed on systems running Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, or 7 with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. More information as well as the link to free Task Manager Community Edition download can be found here.
