Boxlight Releases LCD Projector for Nonwhite Surfaces


The Seattle X40N features greenboard and blackboard display modes.

Boxlight has released a portable LCD projector with networking connectivity and the ability to project color corrected images on nonwhite surfaces.

The new projector, called the Seattle X40N, features a brightness of 4,000 lumens, a native resolution of 1,024 x 768(XGA), a contrast ratio of 600:1, and support for resolutions up to 1080i(1,920 x 1080). Image sizes produced by the projector range from 40 inches to 300 inches at distances from 5 to 30 feet.

For projecting videos on nonwhite surfaces, the projector offers greenboard and blackboard video display modes. Additional display modes include cinema, whiteboard, daylight, natural, and a programmable user mode.

Dimensions of 12.8 inches by 10.24 inches by 3.8 inches and a weight of 7.3 pounds aid in the projectors portability, while a Kensington lock port, an anchor security bar, and a keypad lock offer protection from theft.

The Seattle X40N supports RJ-45 LAN connectivity and RS-232 control.

The Seattle X40N is covered by a 3-year warranty and ships for $1,699.
