Mitsubishi Projector Displays Images From Four Inputs Simultaneously

Mitsubishi has released a portable 3D-ready DLP projector with the ability to simultaneously display images from a maximum of four computer inputs on a projection area divided into quarters.
The new projector, dubbed the WD570U, uses a LAN display utility to implement the simultaneous display of images from multiple computer inputs. The utility also enables remote desktop capabilities including access to application software, Internet browsing, and visual access to both local computer files and network server files when a mouse or keyboard is attached to the projector's USB-A terminal.
To use the LAN display utility, software compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 must be installed on a connected computer.
The WD570U uses a 1-Chip DLP design to produce a native resolution of 1,280 x 800, a brightness of 3,500 lumens, and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. The projector supports a maximum resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 and offers a projected area that ranges between 40 inches and 300 inches.
Other features of the WD570U include:
- Simultaneous message display, an ability that allows the projector to receive and display messages created on control software and sent over a LAN;
- An audio pass-through ability that allows the speaker to be used when the projector is in stand-by mode;
- A 1.5:1 zoom ratio;
- A throw ratio that ranges from 1.5 to 2.3; and
- A 10-watt speaker.
The projector comes equipped with RJ-45 LAN connectivity, RS-232 control, USB display capabilities, and support for wireless USB dongle network adapters.
AV inputs include HDMI, two analog RGB/component (mini D-sub 15-pin), S-video, stereo RCA jacks, and two stereo minijacks. AV outputs include RGB/component (mini D-sub 15-pin) and a stereo minijack. The projectors peripheral and control ports include RJ-45, RS-232, and USB.
The projector is currently available and ships with a 3-year parts and labor warranty, a 3-year express replacement assistance warranty, and a 1-year or 500 hour lamp warranty.
