Nader Ibrahim of the University of Texas at San Antonio took second place and a $2,000 scholarship for his video, and Luis Lopez of the University of Nebraska at Omaha earned $1,000 for creating the third place video.

"Winners were selected by public votes and an elite judging panel made up of top academicians, leading third-party educational organizations, and members of the media covering and influencing key issues in technology and education," according to information released by the company.
