Tightrope Media Intros Updated Digital Signage System

Tightrope Media Systems' updated Carousel digital signage system, which was revealed at this week's InfoComm 2012 conference in Las Vegas, includes new creative and reporting capabilities, according to a prepared statement from the company.

The recently updated digital signage solution delivers multi-day weather forecasts—up to seven days—and text crawls from WeatherBug. Signage operators can create forecasts showing temperature information with graphics that illustrate climate conditions. Also new is improved multi-lingual support, international date formats by location, and social media integration. The system's built-in location-based services are designed to deliver the proper forecasts, languages, and social media feeds to the right screens across larger networks.

Tightrope has integrated its Zeplay Instant Replay technology into Carousel. Operators manage instant replays through an iPad interface.

Carousel supports the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP). Institutions can push simultaneous emergency messages across multiple platforms including SMS/text, AM radio, cable television EAS, and outdoor warning devices.

A new report publishing module added to Carousel enables the system to export all bulletin-related metadata. Users and operators can filter information related to status, schedules, and impression data, then adjust bulletins so they only broadcast the information needed at that time.

Additional information about Carousel can be found at Tightrope's Web site.
