Campus Management, EC Group Partner on Financial Aid

Software provider Campus Management has partnered with professional services firm EC Group, which will provide financial aid delivery and federal compliance consulting services.

Campus Management's all-automated CampusVue Financial Aid system offers colleges and universities tools to manage, monitor, and administer the financial aid process.

Features include:

  • Web portals that allow students to apply for financial aid online;
  • Automated tools for figuring out financial awards, setting up disbursements, and creating award letters;
  • Tools for fund and encumbrance accounting;
  • Physical inventory monitoring;
  • Management of grants, such as TEACH and SMART; and
  • Title IV administration, with capabilities such as calculations for state and university refund policies, R2T4 calculation, and monitoring of 90-10 rules.

The system also includes general ledger, purchasing, accounts receivable and payable, fixed assets, budgeting, and banking functionalities.

EC Group will work with colleges and universities to streamline and centralize financial aid processes. The firm focuses on institutional effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and financial aid management.

"For several years now, Campus Management's research and development investment in financial aid processing has been steep, and partnering with financial aid experts of EC Group's caliber can offer institutions an opportunity to gain competitive advantage and manage change in highly strategic ways. Colleges face regulation and consumer-level expectations," said Tim Gilbert, chief marketing officer at Campus Management. "Partnering with EC Group can help our clients confirm, re-tune or even totally re-envision their approach to financial aid management."

Robert Evans, president of EC Group, said in a statement that his company can help colleges and universities utilize the CampusVue Financial Aid platform efficiently.

"In lock-step with Campus Management, EC Group can help an institution look twice, bottom-up and top-down, to plan and execute changes that will take the fullest possible advantage of the advanced features now available inside the CampusVue Financial Aid platform," said Evans. "The improved operational efficiencies can resolve exceptions and errors more effectively, and deliver aid to students faster--ultimately resulting in more favorable recruitment outcomes and better student services overall."
