Hobsons Releases Web Platform for Paperless Application Review

Hobsons has released a standalone online interface that allows colleges and universities to organize their digital review of applications. AppReview, available now, was announced at Educause 2012, taking place Nov. 6-9 in Denver, CO.

AppReview provides the tools for colleges and universities to designate college applications and supporting documents such as recommendations, transcripts, and personal statements from centralized application management platform ApplyYourself to groups of reviewers.

The online platform allows applications to be searched, sorted, and filtered. In addition, head reviewers who use AppReview can deliver recommendations directly to ApplyYourself.

Additional features of AppReview include:

  • Option of remote or on-site access;
  • Routing of application bundles to review supervisors;
  • A detail page for each application, which provides access to key information, and allows reviewers to enter comments, and a rating; and
  • Role-based log-in, which allows colleges to assign access privileges for each employee.

"We are really pleased to be involved with AppReview as we were looking for a product that had synergy with technology we already knew and our end-users trusted," said Anna De Cheke Qualls, director of the Office of Graduate Affairs and Admissions at Johns Hopkins University. "AppReview's integration with our online application makes for a more seamless graduate admissions review experience. We are also hoping to gain long-term workflow efficiencies, but most of all, a robust and sustainable review process for our programs."

For those attending the Educause event, representatives from Hobsons are available at booth No. 953. For more information, visit hobsons.com.
