HP Unveils Android-Based PC and All-in-One Desktops

HP has expanded its portfolio of all-in-one desktops with four models, including an Android-based PC. Android business apps, manageability tools and security advancements are among the features being spotlighted in the new machines.

HP Slate21 Pro All-in-One
The Android-powered HP Slate21 Pro features a 21.5-inch HD touchscreen with 178-degree viewing angles. Its stand design allows up to 70 degrees of adjustable recline and optional VESA mounting. Powered by Android 4.3 and an NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processor, the Slate21 Pro comes with 8.11 a/b/g/n dual band wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, high-definition webcam, 50 GB of Box cloud storage at no additional cost and access to more than 1 million apps on Google Play. It integrates with Android-based phones and tablets via autosyncing and Google Cloud Services.

Certified Citrix ready and HDX verified, the Slate21 Pro also offers a virtual workspace with secure data and Windows application support via Citrix Receiver. Users can toggle easily between the Android environment and content displayed from a Windows PC. Citrix XenMobile comes pre-installed, allowing institutions to manage apps and secure the machine within an enterprise environment.

HP ProOne 400 All-in-One G1
The HP ProOne 400 is available as a 21.5-inch touch version and a 19.5-inch non-touch version. It can be mounted to the wall, arm, cart or other accessories with a standard VESA mount. Features include an integrated Skype-ready webcam and microphone; speakers and DTS Sound+ audio software; DisplayPort for adding an external monitor; and side USB 3.0 ports for accessory connections, including one fast-charging USB port. Users can share their Internet connection with up to five devices using HP Wireless Hotspot. Powered by Windows 8.1 and 4th-generation Intel Core processors, the ProOne 400 includes HP BIOSphere for configurability, manageability and security, as well as HP Trust Circles for protecting sensitive data.

HP 205 All-in-One
The Windows-based HP 205 features an 18.5-inch HD, WLED-backlight antiglare display that tilts for optimum placement; AMD E-Series dual-core processors; wireless networking internal antenna for 802.11 WiFi; and built-in webcam and array microphone.

HP Z1 G2 All-in-One
The HP Z1 G2 boasts a 27-inch display, available Windows 8 Touch functionality and Intel Thunderbolt capabilities (offering up to four times USB 3.0 bandwidth). Features include Intel-integrated HD graphics; 4th-generation Intel Xeon and Core processors; ECC memory; RAID storage options; the latest NVIDIA Mobile Quadro GPUs; dual-tone, front-facing speakers; and DTS Studio Sound. A tool-less chassis allows users to change most parts or make upgrades without tools or a service technician.
