Brief: ConnectYard Partners With Pearson for Student Engagement

ConnectYard has partnered with Pearson to integrate its social engagement platform with Pearson LearningStudio. Universities using the LMS can now engage students with course-level and campuswide notifications via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, personal e-mail accounts, institutional e-mail accounts and text messaging.

ConnectYard's social messaging service enables instructors to notify students about important announcements, discussions, reminders and grade updates via a variety of channels. Two-way communication capabilities allow students and faculty to converse from any device or network without having to sign into Pearson LearningStudio, yet the dialogue is still captured and tracked.

The system's analytics and reporting functions track who views messages, when, for how long and more, so students who may be in need of private reminders or personal follow-ups can be identified and helped.
