Campus Management Delivers Finance, HR, Payroll for Microsoft Dynamics AX

Education technology company Campus Management has released new operational software built on Microsoft's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, Dynamics AX. CampusNexus Finance HR & Payroll is intended to streamline inter-departmental processes in finance and accounting, planning and forecasting, human resources and reporting and analytics. It runs on premise or as a cloud service.
The application can be used on a single campus or within a multi-campus institution, supports multiple currencies and includes department-specific workflows, approvals and document tracking. The new product integrates with Campus Management's student information system (SIS), or it can be run alone or integrated with another SIS. The software manages student accounts, scholarships and grants and federal work study payroll. A faculty module handles faculty data, including workload and credential details, position control and budgeting, certifications and competencies, performance, professional membership and knowledge creation.
This isn't the first integration with Microsoft applications for Campus Management. For example, the company's fundraising software, Talisma Fundraising, requires Microsoft Dynamics. CampusVue Portal works with both Microsoft .NET and SharePoint interfaces.
Dynamics AX includes capabilities for financial management, manufacturing, retail, business intelligence and reporting, supply chain management and human capital management. The latest version was released in June 2014. Third-party companies have customized the Microsoft offerings to address specific vertical industries; Campus Management does that for the higher education space.

The company's higher education customers include the University of Ottawa and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, among others.
