Northwest Nazarene Goes to Cloud To Manage Enrollment Growth

Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, ID, will phase in a new cloud-based constituent relationship management system (CRM) to help with its fast-moving enrollment growth.

The 1,800-student university has signed an agreement with Jenzabar to move to its Jenzabar JX enterprise resource planning system with a design that allows the university to adapt its elements module by module as it needs them. Jenzabar's new cloud-based application has embedded analytics that can be accessed by administrators anytime anywhere, an enterprise CRM, responsive design and a mobile-first strategy that is intended to be student-friendly with a number of self-service aspects.

"Our projected enrollment numbers are growing and we need to leverage new technologies to keep up," said Northwest Nazarene Vice President of Financial Affairs David Tarrant. "The improved student engagement will increase collaboration with students throughout the student lifecycle."

Jenzabar officials said the features of Jenzabar JX will allow Northwest Nazarene to facilitate a number of the trends that are prevalent in higher education today, such as competency-based education, multiple enrollment periods, BYOD and remote learning.

Jenzabar's new JX systems will be implemented at 10 other higher ed institutions this year and at least 28 more in early 2015.
