Liaison International, a company that provides enrollment management software and services to higher education, has acquired Spectrum Edu Solutions, a company that provides customer relations management and marketing software and services to higher ed.

Liaison representatives said the addition of Spectrum's automated student marketing platform will enable it to provide products and services to colleges and universities that span the entire lifecycle of enrollment management and student marketing.

"Higher education institutions are looking for integrated solutions to improve their recruitment efforts, student communications and applicant experience," said Liaison CEO and President Michael Behringer. "Spectrum's CRM and marketing solutions are a natural extension to our admissions platform and will expand our ability to help schools admit the right applicant."

Liaison said that, with the products and services provided by Spectrum, the company will be able to provide higher ed institutions with a holistic application process that will help them identify the best-fit applicants for their colleges and universities.

"Many institutions struggle with having the right tools and enough resources to manage all the critical tasks throughout the admissions process," said former Spectrum President Scott Mallen, who is now president of CRM Solutions at Liaison. "Together, we can bring to market a solution that addresses this need."

A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) site regarding the acquisition will be available to existing Liaison and Spectrum clients, providing background and information on how the acquisition may impact them.
