Association for Assessment of Learning in Higher Ed, Taskstream Partner on Assessment Research, Resources

The nonprofit Association for Assessment of Learning in Higher Education (AALHE) has partnered with assessment management and portfolio provider Taskstream in an effort to improve assessment in higher education.

As a result of the partnership, the two organizations will work to conduct research on current practices and trends in assessment, produce resources for practitioners and institutions and grow AALHE's membership and annual conference.

"Taskstream has proven themselves to be more than a software provider. We saw a real alignment in our organizations to advance the practice of assessment — an area that is of critical and growing importance to the future of higher education," said Tara Rose, president of AALHE, in a preferred statement. "We share the belief that this collaboration will be mutually beneficial for our organizations and higher education more broadly."

"We have a great deal of respect for AALHE and the leadership it provides for the assessment community," said Webster Thompson, president of Taskstream, in a news release. "Like AALHE, we believe in the strategic value of assessment to improve student learning and institutional effectiveness. Working together, we think we can make a greater impact on the field and help more institutions benefit from meaningful, effective assessment than we can through our technology and services alone."
