High Alpha and Butler University Launch Cloud Tech for Mobile Student Engagement

Enterprise cloud venture studio High Alpha has announced ClearScholar, a new cloud-based technology company developed in partnership with Butler University that aims to improve student success through personalized mobile engagement.

The ClearScholar platform will "provide students personalized news and information feeds, unified calendaring with tailored events, instructor and university-driven polling, location-aware and emergency notifications and a secure mobile student identification," according to a press release. The technology will track student interactions and engagement, allowing administrators to target their efforts to increase student satisfaction and success.

"Institutions increasingly struggle to engage students throughout their lifelong relationship," said Jason Konesco, chief executive officer for ClearScholar and former president and chief executive at Harrison College, in a statement. "By bringing together High Alpha's digital expertise and Butler's leadership in student-centered education, ClearScholar will provide an entirely new way to improve engagement and fuel student success."

Butler University will beta-test ClearScholar this fall; the technology is expected to be generally available in late 2016. For more information, visit the ClearScholar site.
