Fairfield U Creates Service Discovery Portal

Students, faculty and staff at Fairfield University in Connecticut now can connect to campus resources — such as student services, course information, learning management systems and more — from any device, in an online marketplace format. The institution turned to the cloud-based rSmart OneCampus platform to create my.Fairfield 2.0, a "service discovery portal" designed to streamline access to campus programs.

Fairfield selected OneCampus to replace its legacy CampusEAI portal. Key requirements for the rollout included single sign-on for campus applications; scalability through peak times (such as student registration); and integration with the university's Banner ERP system, according to a press release.

"Our new portal, my.Fairfield 2.0, uses the OneCampus platform to provide our education community with a school-branded, easy-to-use solution enabling users to find and discover essential campus programs and services, and help them find what they need, on any of their devices — laptop, phone or tablet," said Jason Victor, help desk manager, in a statement. "Providing exceptional education services is our primary goal at Fairfield University, and we are always seeking ways to improve the experience for our entire community. My.Fairfield 2.0 is exactly what our students and staff expect from higher education, giving them more time to focus on learning and student success."
