Echo360 Announces Universal Capture Software

Lecture capture and video platform company Echo360 is introducing new software that allows users to record the screen of their Mac or Windows device as well as capture lectures in the classroom, through the same interface. With the universal capture software, for example, an instructor can record audio and his laptop's screen while explaining a concept to a student during office hours, and then bring the same device to the classroom for a lecture capture session, a news announcement explained.

An updated user interface provides the same experience for Mac and Windows devices as well as lecture and personal screen recording. Recordings can be scheduled or initiated on demand with the press of a single button. The software is designed to work seamlessly with Echo360's video content management and active learning capabilities, according to the company.

The universal capture software will be available for Mac next spring, with the Windows version following in summer 2018. For more information, visit the Echo360 site.
