Dell Intros 75-Inch Interactive Touch Monitor

The monitor supports 20-point multi-touch, to allow multiple people to interact with the screen at the same time. Similar to Microsoft's Surface Hub, content on the display can be manipulated with fingers or palms. 

Soon, Dell will add a 75-inch model to its line of 4K interactive touch monitors. As with the 55-inch and 86-inch versions, the C7520QT is intended for use in group collaboration. The monitor supports 20-point multi-touch, to allow multiple people to interact with the screen at the same time. Similar to Microsoft's Surface Hub, content on the display can be manipulated with fingers or palms.

The hardware incorporates FlatFrog's InGlass, which Dell already uses in its large-format interactive displays. InGlass has found wide use in not just education but also corporate environments.

Among the features of the new monitor are these:

  • "Screen Drop," which improves the reachability for users working at different heights; buttons on the side of the panel allow for adjusting the height; this is also available on Dell's other 4K models as well;
  • A wide viewing angle that allows for the screen to be viewed from multiple vantagepoints in the room;
  • Anti-glare and anti-smudge coatings to reduce reflection and fingerprint smudges;
  • "ComfortView," which decreases blue light emission to optimize eye comfort up close;
  • RS232, RJ45 and HDMI CEC connectivity to allow for remote operation;
  • Optional integration with the Dell OptiPlex Micro PC for an all-in-one computing solution; and
  • An optional AV cart to allow the display to be mobile.

The monitor will be available later this spring, starting at $6,000.
