FlatWorld Boosts Grading Capabilities, Accessibility and More

Learning materials publisher FlatWorld has introduced a range of new capabilities for its digital platform, including enhanced accessibility for its digital titles as well as improved functionality for instructors.

New features in the FlatWorld Homework platform include:

  • Availability in all major learning management systems via the EDU App Center;
  • Auto-grading capabilities and the ability to easily edit students' grades after submission;
  • New controls over what answer and solution formations students see and when (to help prevent students from sharing answers before submissions are closed); and
  • A forthcoming Quick Create function for assignments, allowing instructors to build homework assignments with individual questions or a pre-selected set.

Enhancements to FlatWorld's digital textbook platform include:

  • Accessibility improvements, including support for complex data and table layouts and upgrades to student and instructor dashboards;
  • Updated cloud infrastructure and architecture for better stability, performance and security;
  • Improvements to the textbook editor platform designed to make it easier for instructors to customize textbook assignments; and
  • Expanded customer support, including extended evening and weekend support hours.
