HoverCam Integrates Document Camera Software with Zoom

Instructors teaching remotely or in HyFlex learning environments can now access Zoom videoconferencing directly from HoverCam's Flex 11 document camera software. The integration is designed to help create a seamless distance learning workflow, according to a news announcement.

Flex 11 has been redesigned to incorporate the Zoom interface, so the two tools no longer need to run as separate applications. Instructors can schedule and launch Zoom meetings directly from Flex 11, a feature that eliminates the black screen that previously appeared when switching between the apps, the company said. They can also access Zoom's spotlight and screen sharing features.

For users with security concerns, the Zoom functionality can be disabled through Flex 11's software settings.

Flex 11 is also compatible with Skype, Google Hangouts, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. For more information, visit the HoverCam site.
