BNED Offering Bartleby Bundle Through VitalSource

Barnes & Noble Education, which recently announced it was spinning off into a separate company from Barnes & Noble booksellers, has expanded dealings with VitalSource, which distributes digital textbooks. Under the new arrangement BNED will bundle its bartleby learn and write digital products, and make those available to students for a discounted rate when they license a VitalSource ebook.

The "bartleby bundle" will be $20 for four months of access (versus $80) when students buy an e-book priced at more than $20. The software offers step-by-step textbook help, real-time online Q&A with subject-matter experts, preventative plagiarism scans, spelling and grammar checks, citation assistance and writing help delivered through artificial intelligence.

"The bartleby study bundle is designed to increase the distribution of our leading solutions ecosystem and demonstrates our shared commitment to student affordability, accessibility and achievement," said Kanuj Malhotra, BNED president of digital student solutions, in a press release. "We will continue to explore unique ways to expand distribution for our bartleby suite of solutions, ensuring students can find the support they need — whenever and wherever they need it."
