Ambow Education Introduces AI-Driven Hybrid Learning Platform

Ambow Education has announced its new AI digital instruction platform, HybriU, that integrates online and offline learning tools with multiple features geared to colleges and universities around the world. The new platform uses "patented, cutting-edge AI technology to empower institutions to convert traditional teaching and training facilities into hybrid classrooms and laboratories in a scalable and affordable manner," the company said. It addresses "the challenges of the new education paradigm in which online and offline learning intersect."

The AI platform is powered by the OOOK engine, including OOOK LIVE and the OOOK AI Digital Education Large Model with multiple functionalities. Some of the many features include:

  • Digital lesson preparation and intelligent teaching guidance;
  • Automated speech synthesis audio transcription and translation, which converts audio into text and also instantly translates it into other languages for students and teachers from different regions, enhancing collaboration;
  • Interactive tools such as virtual whiteboards, collective document editing, and real-time chat;
  • Audio enhancement using noise reduction, noise removal, and audio quality restoration;
  • Video content analysis using image recognition, with the ability to issue alerts for "abnormal, excessive, or hazardous movements of teachers or students";
  • Video image processing to improve video quality;
  • Speech analysis and emotion recognition technology, visualized on a data platform for data support for administrators; and
  • Real time feedback and assessment insights for students and teachers to assist improvement, and the ability for teachers to monitor student progress; and
  • Continuous AI training to evolve to meet the needs of teachers and students.

HybriU and the HybriU AI are now available for use in a box-top set for instantaneous plug-and-play use, as well as a subscription-based model, the company said.
