NetSupport Debuts Desktop Mass Notification System

School security solution provider NetSupport Wednesday debuted a new notification system targeted not at cell phones or e-mail clients, but at desktops. The new system, NetSupport Notify, is now in beta and is being shown off at NetSupport's booth at the FETC conference going on this week in Orlando, FL.

NetSupport Notify is designed to provide instant desktop systems via LAN or WAN. It includes dedicated notification gateways for message delivery across multiple network segments or sites without modifying the network or switch configuration, according to the company. It also has the ability to record message delivery and acknowledgement information.

NetSupport Notify is presently in beta with support for Mac OS X and Windows. A final release date has not yet been announced.
