Sanyo Intros 3D Short Focus Projectors

Sanyo unveiled two 3D-ready short-focus DLP projectors at InfoComm 2010 conference being held this week in Las Vegas, NV.

The projectors, dubbed the PDG-DWL2500 and the PDG-DXL2000, use a short-focus optical unit to project an 80-inch image at minimum distances of 12.6 inches and 15.1 inches, respectively.

Maximum image size, resolutions, brightness, and aspect ratios differ between the two models. The PDG-DWL2500 offers an image of 110 inches, a resolution 1,280 x 800, a brightness of 2,500 lumens, and an aspect ratio of 16:10, while the PDG-DXL2000 offers a 90 inch image, a brightness of 2,000 lumens, a resolution of 1,024 x 768, and aspect ratio of 4:3.

Both projectors feature RJ-45 connectivity, horizontal and vertical orientations for mounting purposes, and a built in 10 watt mono speaker.

Inputs for both models include an HDMI 1.3a, S-video, composite video, and two 15 pin D-sub ports.

The PDG-DWL2500 and PDG-DXL2000 are expected to ship next month with price tags of $1,995 and $1,795, respectively. Further information can be found here.

Sanyo is demonstrating its new technologies June 9 through June 11 at InfoComm 2010 in booth C5125.
