ImageNow 6.5 Adds Retention Policy Manager

Perceptive Software has released a new version of its document management system, ImageNow 6.5.

ImageNow is an enterprise content management (ECM) suite designed to capture, import, and organize document information. Key features include OCR and format conversion, bar coding and attachment of metadata for indexed information retrieval, linking of related information, and content extraction and verification, as well as remote document access through the WebNow component. For education, it's designed to improve a school's ability to respond to requests for information and parent inquiries, reduce paperwork, and comply with confidentiality mandates. More than 400 colleges and universities worldwide use Perceptive's ECM software, according to the company.

New in the latest release of ImageNow 6.5 are a retention policy manager for setting policies based on time and event criteria, customizable electronic forms and reports, and 64-bit support for WebNow.
