Cengage Launches On-Demand Professional Development for Higher Ed

Cengage Learning has launched TeamUp portal, a new on-demand service designed to provide professional development resources for higher education and career training professionals.

The new portal offers an opportunity to take part in workshops, online forums, multimedia modules, and conferences with both live and pre-recorded offerings.

The new service follows the success of the decade-old TeamUP Faculty Programs, which provide professional development, consultations, and workshops and allow material to be provided on-demand for clients to purchase.

Resources provided through the portal are designed to help educators learn teaching strategies, form new ideas, and maximize their classroom time and efficiency from interacting with other educators and trained faculty consultants.

The new portal also provides a means for educators to earn continuing education credits without travel or other disruption to their teaching routine.

Features of the new portal include:

  • Self-paced multimedia modules;
  • Live virtual workshops;
  • Online forums to collaborate with other educators;
  • A searchable database of topics; and
  • Access to pre-recorded TeamUp Faculty Programs conferences.

Materials can be located based on a variety of search criteria including topic, preferred speakers, or even by specific conferences that have been offered by TeamUp Faculty Development programs.

The portal was created by Cengage's.

Built by Cengage's own staff of faculty consultants and a team of experienced instructors, the company calls the new portal the "only 'on-demand' professional development center for higher education instructors."
