U Missouri Research Center To Implement Integrated Research Database

The University of Missouri (UM) has selected a new data management services partner for its Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

UM has tapped Prometheus Research, located in New Haven, CT, to develop an integrated data management system for the Thompson Center. The new system will build on technology "already in place from their mutual involvement in the Simons Simplex Collection (SSC)," according to a statement released today by Prometheus. The system will support new research outside of what's stored with the SSC.

Prometheus will oversee all aspects of data management including "data collection, data quality reporting, query definition, data integration, and data set generation."

The Thompson Center aims to overcome the challenges of autism and other developmental conditions through research, training, and new models of care. University researchers are working on more than 30 research projects geared at finding solutions that address the unique needs of people with ASD. The Thompson Center partners with the Autism Treatment Network, the Simons Simplex Collection, and the Interactive Autism Network (IAN).

Additional information about the Thompson Center and Prometheus Researchcan be found online.
