BenQ Debuts High Brightness Projectors for Education Spaces

BenQ has added two new single-chip DLP projectors to its M7 series of projectors. The new units are designed to deliver high brightness output in midsize classrooms and meeting spaces.

The MX768 features 4,000 lumens of brightness and a 1,024 x 768 resolution. The MW769 comes with 4,200 lumens of brightness and a 1,200 x 800 resolution. Both units include contrast ratios of 13,000:1. The projectors are designed for integration with Crestron RoomView, AMX and PJLink.

Additional features common to both projectors include:

  • 20W speakers;
  • 3D capabilities;
  • RJ-45 LAN connectivity;
  • "Instant restart" for rapid reboot;
  • ±30 degree vertical and ± 25 degree horizontal keystone correction; and
  • Optional wireless display.

AV inputs on the models include dual HDMI, RGB (VGA D-sub 15-pin), USB, S-video, composite video and stereo minijack. Outputs include RGB monitor D-sub 15pin and audio jack. Networking and control ports include RS-232, infrared, wired LAN, USB and optional wireless LAN.

The new projectors are available now. The MX768 retails for $2,199 and the MW769 for $2,399.
