Central State U Chooses Leader Alert for Campus Communication

Central State University has deployed Leader Alert, an emergency notification system, for use at its Wilberforce and Dayton, OH campuses of more than 2,100 students.

The communications service allows for simultaneous alert of the campus community by telephone, texting, and e-mail.

"Central State believes that Leader Alert offers peace of mind to parents and students," said John Garland, university president. "We know that parents want to be sure that the university is taking all reasonable precautions in emergency situations, and we will now be able to contact all of our students and faculty and staff within minutes." He said the university chose Leader Alert because "It is not only superior alerting technology, but it is the most cost-effective system we have seen."
