Campus Labs Intros Badging Platform

Campus Labs has introduced a new badging and credentialing tool aimed at helping guide learners through skill development and achievement. The Milestone platform allows institutions to issue badges and micro-credentials in a variety of ways: Awards can be given to individual learners, groups of learners, departments, organizations and more. Leaners can self-claim their own badges, or submit evidence of their achievements for review and assessment.

Features of the platform include:

  • Guided skill progression, allowing institutions to create open or sequenced badge pathways;
  • Competency assessment tools, including the ability to evaluate learner abilities using rubrics and align them to outcomes or external standards;
  • Skill recognition and endorsement, for validating the learning and completion of requirements based on custom outcomes or skill frameworks;
  • Achievement showcasing, the ability to showcase competencies through online collections or e-portfolios; and
  • Tools for personal and career goals, including skill and career mappings, job search tools and skill analytics.

Milestone's credentials adhere to the IMS Global Open Badge 2.0 standard of compliance. For more information, visit the Campus Labs site.
