New Emory Tech Bootcamps to Train Aspiring Tech Workers

Emory University, in partnership with Fullstack Academy, is launching online coding and cybersecurity training programs to help develop tech talent in the Atlanta area. The new Emory Tech Bootcamps will be housed in the university's non-credit division, Emory Continuing Education.

The programs will offer live, online training, in both 12-week full-time and 26-week part-time formats. They will provide students of any background the opportunity to gain the coding and cybersecurity skills they need to success in the tech sector, according to a news announcement.

"Atlanta's IT sector ranks near the top of fastest-growing tech markets across the country," said Nimit Maru, Fullstack Academy co-founder and co-CEO, in a statement. "With Emory's impressive reputation across Georgia and its longstanding relationships with Atlanta's most prominent businesses, we felt bringing this accelerated training to the region alongside Emory was a natural fit — one that will afford great opportunity to locals seeking new careers in a growing industry."

"We're always seeking new ways to develop talent while supporting the career development needs of people both in Atlanta and around the world," commented Paul Welty, executive director of Emory Continuing Education. "Our objective is to equip students with the skills needed to secure and maintain attractive jobs in a variety of industries. Fullstack's connections to top educators and businesses across the country will continue to help Emory Continuing Education successfully work toward that goal."
