Educational Robotics Market to Reach $4 Billion by 2028

The need for robotics in education will help drive double-digit annual growth worldwide through 2028, according to a forecast from Emergen Research.

The research firm estimates that the market for educational robotics technologies, including software and professional development, will grow at a compound annual rate of 17.9%, reaching $4.02 billion in global expenditures in 2028.

Among the highlights:

  • Humanoid robots will see a compound annual growth rate of 17.4% during the forecast period;
  • The Asia Pacific region accounts for the greatest share of the market, owing largely to the adoption of artificial intelligence in educational settings; and
  • Drivers for the adoption of robotics in education include government policies encouraging their adoption; consumer adoption of smart devices; and the need for AI-based tutors; and increasing need for more stringent professional development for teachers.
