Ellucian Unveils New Partner Program to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Higher Ed

Higher education SaaS provider Ellucian has revamped its partnership programs, combining them into a new Ellucian Partner Network, aiming to “ignite scale and acceleration of digital transformation across the industry,” according to a news release.

The new network is “key to extending Ellucian's leadership position supporting customers in both new and existing markets,” the company said.

The Ellucian Partner Network will focus on shared success through joint marketing, sales collaboration, and technology enablement, according to the announcement. The network already has more than 150 member organizations serving higher education technology needs, Ellucian said.

The EPN has four tracks:

  1. Build Track, formerly called Technology and OEM Partners: For providers of solutions that “underpin, extend, or complement Ellucian’s software to meet customers’ specific and unique needs; these providers “build, design, develop, integrate, and commercialize their solutions” and participate in Ellucian’s SaaS ecosystem.

  2. Sell Track, formerly called Reseller Partners: This group comprises partners that resell Ellucian products, services, and support around the world.

  3. Service Track, formerly called Service and Delivery Partners: This track is for “partners that will implement and provide advisory services directly connected with Ellucian SaaS offerings, or that provide additional value-add services not directly connected with Ellucian software.”

  4. Accelerate Track, a new invitation-only group for tech providers that “considerably contribute to Ellucian revenue growth or achieve the highest level of proficiency in a minimum of two other EPN tracks,” the company said.

Ellucian said it “is introducing an integration validation process” to ensure that partner solutions meet integration requirements, “interface effectively with Ellucian’s products,” and are SaaS-ready. Build Track partners that have completed the integration validation can apply to Ellucian’s resale and referral programs, the company said.

"As we continue to grow our open SaaS platform, the Ellucian Partner Network will serve as an eco-system where partners across the globe will be invited to build, sell or service Ellucian solutions," said Ellucian’s Jeff Dinski, chief strategy and corporate development officer. "In the fast-moving world of SaaS, our customers require cloud solutions to enable them for the next generation of higher education. Our partner community will extend the reach of our products and services through integration and validation to ensure customer cloud environments that are meant to last."
