Over the past few years, online learning in higher education has gone through a period of disruptive change. And micro-credentials, programs certifying specific competencies that can stand alone or be applied toward a larger degree, have gained momentum as learners have needed to reskill and compete in an evolving workforce. The renovations mark the first step in a $785-million campus master plan that includes the construction of three new academic buildings and renovations to others by 2026. MoreThe Board of Trustees at Panola College in Carthage, Texas, recently approved the construction of a new energy building on its campus, according to local news. MoreOn the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, construction will begin soon on a $100-million replacement and renovation project for two campus buildings, according to a news release.
