Hitachi Software Engineering has introduced its FX-82W interactive whiteboard, featuring an 82-inch widescreen image area, developed to accommodate the increasing availability of widescreen content in a variety of applications. The FX-82W is bundled with Hitachi’s new Star- Board Software Release 6.31, featuring screen/voice recording functionality and a new Hyperlink feature that allows users to embed WAV movie files in StarBoard presentations. MSRP ranges from $1,499 for wired (USB) configuration to $1,600 for wireless Bluetooth configuration.

Mobile learning solutions provider Agilix Labs has released GoBinder 2006, an updated version of its digital binder for student learning. GoBinder enables students to take digital notes and capture learning content—such as lecture notes, the course syllabus, study materials, and Web research—as digital copies for annotation and highlighting. For 2006, the application’s core features have been enhanced to help students better organize their notes, tasks, and contacts. Personalization options have also been added so that users can define a wide set of options to tune the application to their preferences. Price: $49 per student or $99 per professional user.
