Georgia Tech Preps Personal Robots for Computer Science Students

Microsoft will contribute $1 million over a three year period to developing the Institute for Personal Robotics in Education (IPRE). An associate professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology explained the motivation behind the new program: "We want to bring robots into computer science courses to make them more exciting and effective." He said student enrollment rates in computer science studies and the dotcom bust have contributed to the idea that “science is not cool anymore."… (InformationWeek)
