Epson Debuts Short-Throw WXGA 3LCD Projector
Epson America has announced a new addition to its lineup of PowerLite 3LCD projectors, the PowerLite 400W. The new short-throw model sports a WXGA-native resolution (1,280x800) and is designed for classroom use with 16:10 interactive whiteboards.
The PowerLite 400W is a widescreen version of the previous PowerLite 400. It offers a 16:10 WXGA resolution, a brightness of 1,800 lumens (1,420 in low brightness mode), and a contrast ratio of 500:1. The short-throw model can project an 87-inch image from 3.4 feet.
Other features include:
- Built-in closed captioning support;
- Integrated 10-watt speaker;
- Network monitoring and control (RJ-45, with supporting software);
- Keystone adjustment (±15 degrees);
- Lamp life of up to 4,000 hours;
- Optional wall mount; and
- HD signal support (720p and 1080i).
The PowerLite 400W is expected to ship by the end of March for $1,399 (retail).
