UAE University Streamlines Document Processing with ImageNow

The American University in Dubai has deployed ImageNow, an enterprise document management program from Perceptive Software, to streamline its business processes.

In a statement, the school said it was impressed at how ImageNow integrated with its existing CampusVue systems, the campus' administrative solution for student management, to provide secure electronic versions of the paper documents associated with campus management transactions.

Administrative staff will now be scanning documents upon receipt and routing them electronically to the appropriate departments using ImageNow Workflow. With the ImageNow printer application they'll capture system-generated documents automatically without having to print and scan them before archiving.

"Our student records system was a very paper-heavy process," said Information Technology Services Manager Frank Seifaee. "Because documents have to be viewed across different departments, we wanted to find a more efficient way of providing controlled access. ImageNow meets all our needs--it's quick to implement, simple to use, and has an affiliation with CampusVue."
