Sanyo Expands T-Series Projector Line
Sanyo has introduced two new models in its "T" series of high-brightness, portable multimedia LCD projectors, including the high-end SXGA+ PLC-ET30L and the entry-level XGA-resolution PLC-XT21/L. Both are shipping this month.
The PLC-ET30L offers an SXGA+ resolution (1,400 x 1,050), a brightness of 4,200 ANSI lumens, and a contrast ratio of 1,300:1. The PLC-ET30L does not ship with a lens.
The PLC-XT21/L offers an XGA resolution (1,024 x 768), a brightness of 4,000 ANSI lumens, and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. The PLC-XT21/L can be purchased with a lens or without. The model that comes with a lens (PLC-XT21) offers a powered 1:1.3 zoom.

Both models include the following features:
- 30-inch to 300-inch projected image;
- 4:3 native aspect ratio;
- Support for PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, SECAM, NTSC, and NTSC4.43 signals;
- Component/RGB input (D-sub15, DVI-D, BNC); S-video; and composite video input;
- Audio output via stereo minijack and RCA L/R;
- USB and mini Din 8-pin for control;
- Monitor out via D-sub 15 connector;
- A detachable top cover for maintenance;
- 1 W sound output;
- 90 percent brightness uniformity from corner to corner;
- Vertical keystone correction ±40 degrees; and
- Wired and wireless remote.
Both models also offer optional network connectivity with the PJ-Net Camera and PJ Master Software for network control and administration.
The PLC-ET30L sells for $6,495 without a lens. (Lens must be purchased separately.) The PLC-XT21L (without lens) sells for $4,495; the PLC-XT21 (with lens) sells for $4,995 with. Both will be available in April. More information can be found at Sanyo's Portable Projector page here.
