ClearSight Offers Network Monitoring System Expressly for Smaller Organizations

ClearSight Networks has launched ClearSight Network Time Machine (NTM) Express, a network monitoring system for smaller organizations. The NTM Express gives administrators the ability to monitor and analyze their networks to maintain network uptime. Atlas Express, a navigation system that indexes, classifies, and makes use of network information, is integrated with NTM Express to enhance network visibility.
There are some key differences between the traditional NTM product line offered by the company and its new NTM Express product. "The standard NTMs support Ethernet data rates from 10/100 megabit Ethernet, gigabit Ethernet, and 10 gigabit Ethernet, and storage capabilities that range from 1.6 terabytes to 44 terabytes, allowing a customer to capture and store up to 40 days of information on a typical gigabit Ethernet network connection," said Steve Wong, VP of marketing for the company. Users can add two optional modules to the standard edition of NTM: Atlas, a data mining and application analysis tool, and Apex, an expert analysis utility.
"NTM Express, on the other hand, does not support 10 gigabit Ethernet but does support all the other Ethernet rates," Wong said. "And the storage capacity tops out at 500 gigabits--allowing for up to 11 hours of data capture and recording on a typical gigabit Ethernet network connection."
The lower capacity edition of NTM includes Atlas Express, a "lite" version of Atlas. NTM Express has a 1U form factor and a smaller carbon footprint. "It provides a high degree of performance but comes with a lower entry price point making it very attractive for...customers who want to benefit from similar network monitor, analysis and management capacities as their much bigger enterprise brothers," Wong said.
Pricing for NTM Express begins at $10,999.
