Blackboard announced a number of colleges and universities that have recently decided to deploy its campus commerce and security management platform, among them Endicott College in Beverly, MA; Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO; and Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA.
Among the functions encompassed in the Transact platform are campus ID card technology, on- and off-campus payment solutions, facility access control, and other security solutions.
The platform enables organizations to facilitate campus ID card issuance; manage on-campus, off-campus, and online commerce; provide cashless payment processing for dining, bookstore, vending, laundry, copy, and parking services; do financial reporting; and enable self-service account management. It also lets staff monitor campus and student activity with integrated door access control, video surveillance, and mass notification capabilities.
