Q1 and McAfee to Integrate Network, Security, and Compliance Management

Q1 Labs announced that it would be integrating QRadar, its network security management offering, with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) software, a unified security and compliance management system.

QRadar monitors user, application, data center, and network-based usage and provides administrators with log management, network behavior analytics, and security event management. McAfee ePO enables organizations to manage security and compliance products from multiple vendors. By combining the two applications, Q1 said, users will gain end-to-end visibility and network security management capabilities.

"This new integration work between McAfee and Q1 Labs combines end point security with network security and provides customers with a broader view of what's happening in their enterprise," said Tom Turner, VP of marketing and channel sales at Q1 Labs.

"QRadar intelligently distills large amounts of information from a wide range of sources and makes additional security events visible to McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator database," said Joe Gottlieb, VP of corporate strategy and technology alliances at McAfee. "Through its smart automation and reporting, we expect this integration to improve incident response for our customers and reduce their time to problem resolution."
