Thunderbird, Kentucky State Go Live with e2Campus Emergency Notification Service

Thunderbird School of Global Management and Kentucky State University are among a number of higher education institutions that have recently implemented an e2Campus emergency notification system from Omnilert. E2Campus provides a central interface that allows schools to broadcast notifications to students and other members of the campus community via text messages, phones, pagers, Web pages, desktop alerts, loudspeakers and public address systems, LED display boards, and other means.

"Thunderbird School of Global Management signed up with e2Campus's emergency alert services in order to better prepare us to quickly and effectively alert the Thunderbird community in case of an emergency," said Carol Sunnucks, senior director of corporate communications.

Kentucky State wanted the ability to communicate to its campus community via text messaging, digital signage, e-mail, and land lines from one unified source, said Edward Field, director of IT. "We selected e2Campus as our emergency notification alert system because it was easy to set up and had a user friendly Web interface for administrative management."

Additional implementations of the service have recently taken place at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC; New Mexico State University at Alamogordo; and the University of Maine at Farmington, among others.
