Epson Debuts Short Throw Classroom Projector

Epson has introduced a new model in its lineup of short-throw classroom projectors. The PowerLite 410W (the successor to the 400W) is a widescreen network model that can project a 60-inch (diagonal) image from a distance of 2 feet.

The new projector offers a widescreen (16:10) resolution of 1,280 x 800 (WXGA) and a brightness of 2,000 lumens. (Its predecessor, the 400W, had a brightness of 1,800 lumens.) Information about the projector's contrast ration was not available as of this writing.

Other features include:

  • Built-in closed captioning decoder;
  • RJ-45 connectivity for remote monitoring and control;
  • Optional wall mount;
  • E-TORL lamp technology for up to 4,000 hours of lamp life in economy mode;
  • Direct power on/off;
  • Internal 10-watt speaker;
  • Digital zoom; and
  • ±15 degree vertical keystone correction.

The PowerLite 410W is expected be be available this month for $1,299. Further information can be found here.
