e2Campus Adds Desktop Alert Integration

Omnilert has expanded the capabilities of its emergency alert system for education, e2Campus. The system now integrates with SpectraRep's desktop alert platform, ActiveAccess.

The e2Campus system gives campus administrators a centralized interface for sending urgent messages to campus Web sites, digital signs, mobile phones, e-mail accounts, and RSS readers used by students, faculty, staff, and visitors. It also supports Alertus Notification Beacons, which are wireless units that notify people of campus emergencies via sirens and visual signals.

Through the integration with ActiveAccess, e2Campus clients with ActiveAccess installed can connect to that system with no additional charge. This allows schools to send alerts simultaneously to mobile devices, e-mail, notification beacons, digital signs, Web portals, and school computers via popups.

The integrated solution is available now. ActiveAccess starts at $2,500 for an annual license. It supports Mac OS X and Windows systems.
